Let's begin with " I am a total beginner with Apple products, much less the iPad2/WiFi/3G

Would like any suggestions on the best way to transfer my customer and vendor data from my Quickbooks program to my iPad2. I can export my QB data in a IIF or text format.

I plan to use my Ipad mostly in a business vs social mode.

I have Excel spreadsheets that I would like to transfer to my iPad, also.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Computers are not new to me. I started out with the Commodore Vic 20 back in the EARLY 80's and have written some of the programs for my earlier computers.

HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK - I can answer one of your questions...Excel is easy. But you'll need a compatible app...

One of our members carried out a survey of Office apps for his company; you can see his conclusions in this thread...

Another comparison was undertaken here....

The Apple iWorks Office suite for the iPad has a set of useful Help pages that show their capabilities here...

Pages is Word compatible and can read .doc and .docx files and save in .doc and .pdf

Keynote is PowerPoint compatible and can read .ppt and .pptx files and save in .ppt and .pdf

Numbers is Excel compatible and can read .xls and .xlsx files and save in .xls and .pdf
