Need help to delete a song or album on IOS7

Has anyone worked out how to delete a song or album yet?

Sent from my iPad 3 using iPF

For a single song just swipe over it and tap delete. For a album. i guess if you want to delete it you have to delete all the sings inside of the album one by one to remove the album.

I can't seem to do that, I swipe and don't get a delete option. It just plays the song. What am I doing wrong?

I just swipe it in the songs categories. I swipe it to the left and it shows the delete button.

I just can't do it!

I also don't see how to delete a playlist.

Dod your purchase the song directly from my iPad? Or did you transfer the song from your computer to your iPad? You can't delete purchased songs (I think). They always show up there, that is why all my songs came from my computer.

It's a purchased song. But I didn't tick to include it when I did a sync with iTunes.

I've found the answer.

to delete music it must be downloaded first.

Go to settings>music and turn on "show all music" then complete the download. After download is complete you can swipe left and delete.

Just to let you both know, I have moved this question and answers out of the IOS7 First Impressions thread. This was because it was not on topic but also as this info may go on to help another, so it's best in its own thread.

@ Lizzieh......Glad you found your answer, but please take out a new thread for any help needed in future.

Delete all music

There is an easy way to delete all music
from the main settings
go to usage > show all programs, and then you will see the music app listed with the amount of data(space) its using, you click on that, then swipe and delete,... All music on the ipad is erased,
To delete individual songs you must do it from the actual music app. and only in song view, which sucks....
Also I noticed if you stream a song from the cloud (itunes MATCH) and not download from the cloud, (clicking on song name streams, clicking on cloud icon downloads) you cant delete the song, it remains on ipad hidden and only erases using the first method I mentioned,
I wish the music app was more straightforward....
