I have an Ipad2 and when I plugged in my headphones to watch streaming videos of a TV series, it will randomly stop my video, and start playing a song. I will double click my home button and pause the song, and start the video over, and it does it again. This is only with the headphones plugged in. I am running IOS 6.1.3

Hi there! Welcome to iPF!

Does this also happen with another set of headphones? There could be something wrong with the ones you're using.

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

Have you used these headphones to play music before? Do they have their own controls on the headphones, you may need to stop the music here and not on your iPad for the change to take effect.

If that brings no joy....try a reset of your iPad and try again.
Hold the power off button and the home button simultaneously, keep holding them in and you may see the power off slide appear and disappear, wait until you see the Apple logo appear before releasing the buttons. It will take a little longer for your iPad to start. Let us know how you go.
