Yes and no.

If both itunes and Amazon don't have the songs, than your best bet would be to search amazon, eBay or some other online store for CD's, rip them onto your computer and the sync to the iPad.
File sharing will most likely involve you down&up-loading content, you have not purchased, so it will not be further discussed on this forum.

While I'm sure the question was asked in all innocence, DontUnderstandMyIpad is quite right - and I'm not in any way suggesting that you were advocating this but simply re-iterate the point to remind everyone, that iPad Forums does not condone the illegal downloading of music - i.e. music that has not been paid for or otherwise legally obtained - nor will it tolerate the discussion of such activities. Yes, of course, free downloads may be entirely legal - perhaps the artist has made their own music available for free download - but a significant proportion of 'free' downloads are from sites where the music has been 'ripped' and then illegally made available for onward distribution.

Where can I get my music from? Apple, Amazon, walmart. Do songs need to be converted to acc from other sites, is this hard to do with downloads. Itunes automatically converted songs that I had on antother MP3 player.
