Hi, can we download mp3 music from internet to ipad for free? And how? When I used my laptop, I can easily download music for free, but not with ipad, can anyone help me how?

I feel it's best to buy music so as to support the folks who put in their valuable time and skills to bring us the music. Music via iTunes is high quality and inexpensive.
