movies on new ipad

i have a wd wireless media player, with a harddrive, hooked up to my tv (hdmi) and my home network. how can i access the media player on my ipad so i can watch my own movies on my home network?

There is an app called 8player, that should definitely help

Thanks everyone. I couldn't get any of the solutions to work for me. I tried Orb and it seems to be working ok, still completing the setup for my network.
