Movie Uploads Itself??

I bought a movie from the App Store. But when it's time I want to watch it, I find it's been uploaded, which annoys me because I don't want to wait for it to download, and I never gave instructions for it to be uploaded in the first place.

Does anyone know how to control whether a movie is to be on the iPad or not? Why is this happening?
