AppAdvice reports that Apple has been in touch with MobileMe users to remind them that its free 20GB cloud storage facility will finally be closing down on September 30, 2013. Apple was originally scheduled to close MobileMe’s cloud-storage facility a year ago, but decided to give users a further year’s grace. Now that extra time is almost up, however, so users need to be sure to move their documents, email, and anything else they have stored there over to iCloud before the cutoff date. And, if you plan to store more than the standard 5GB, which is free for all users, then you’ll have to ensure that you have a paid plan in place for your extra storage as well. Apple says that if users exceed their storage plan limit after September 30, 2013, without a new paid system in place, then iCloud Backup, Documents in the Cloud, and iCloud Mail will temporarily stop working.
