Can anyone please explain why I am getting a " not delivered" message when I send a message

Thanks for your reply, but I think I have a good wifi connection ! It was working in the recent past but I don't know what happened!

Sometimes you may hit Apples servers at a peak moment and it won't go through, my iPhone does it sometimes. I also will have a good signal for voice but no data signal. I haven't run into this on the iPad yet.
