What happened to street level in os7?

If you mean Street View, that's a feature of Google maps. It can be accessed through the free Google Maps app, available in the App Store.

Apple switched to their own maps app in iOS 6 and Street View hasn't been available in the built in maps since then.

Ok, I didn't know that. I just upgraded to 7 and couldn't get to street level and thought something was wrong. However my camera only works when it wants to!
