Losing disk space on iPad 4?

It seems that I'm deleting videos like TV shows or movies and not getting back all the disk space. I know for sure that I have nothing saved in "Mail" but "Usage" still shows about .5 GB being occupied. Is it possible that the iPad isn't returning all the unoccupied space?

Hi, welcome to iPF!

The occupied space are media and documents you viewed in your email account.

Delete the mail account in Settings - Mails, Contacts, Calendars, then set it up again. This should free some more space.
