Looking for more simple way to invoice

I am looking forward to seeing how my iPad can be of assistance to me in the world of contracting as an LLC.
Specifically I am going to be looking for an invoicing program that I enter line items without having to enter them into an item data base. Specifically as if I were to write an invoice out by hand and add a line for materials, then write in the
amount; without having to enter it into a item list, as in Quickbooks.
Does such a thing exist?
