Loads Apps and pictures when no need.

OK, I have been through the FAQ etc. and cannot find an answer. The problem is this; I put an MP4 file on Itunes to watch, I plug in the iPad, it tries to load a bucketload of pictures (box on bottom right of screen), I halt this, then sync the iPad, it then loads all 65 apps, which are already on the damn thing, before it puts the MP4 file on. Other times, it simply puts the MP4 file on in minutes. What is going on?

In iTunes, could you have it set to sync photos? If that tab is checked, then yes, iTunes will always try to sync any photos you have told it you want onto the iPad. The way to stop it is to remove that check in iTunes (but be careful, cause any photos that we're put ON the iPad via iTunes will be lost.
