Itunes verification

I have just received an e-mail stating that my itunes account has been frozen and I need to verify my information and if they can validate my details they will TRY to lift my account suspension.
It looks a little dodgy to me as I then click on a link to post my information.

Has anyone else received this e-mail?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

The email you received is a phishing scam, designed to steal your iTunes account and payment information. Do not click on any links in the post. Report the email to your email provider, then delete as spam.

Apple would never ask you to access your account in this matter.

These scammers also try this phishing scam with PayPal accounts as well.

Thank you so much for your really fast response.

May I know what details they were asking? When I was being asked for verifying account details while downloading apps, it asked for my bank account PIN and a call to Apple support said that it asked for it the first time?!!!?!!!

I have deleted the message now.
But if I remember correctly it was asking for my account name and password.
Maybe if I had given them the info they would then have asked for more details.

Hmm.... Not sure, but its good that you did not give. Are you able to download anything (even free apps) from the app store?
