iTunes on ipad

The only music that shows up on my ipad is my purchased tunes. How can I get the music off my desktop (PC) on my ipad?

The easiest thing to do is to upload all your music into iTunes and then sync it over to the iPad. IMHO, that's the best way to manage music on the iPad - use iTunes.

Hello and welcome to the forum! Not sure where you are located, but I'm in Winston-Salem.

To get content from your computer onto the iPad, you need to learn how to 'sync' the two (I've gotten most of my music onto the device w/ a USB wired connection - wireless options are also possible). As a starter, checkout this Apple Support Article for help - if still a problem, please post back to this thread - good luck!

Also note that your sync'd music won't show up in iTunes app. There's a music player and video app for your owned media.
