I have just bought an iPad for my daughter. I have no idea if it's iPad1, iPad2 or some other version but it's running iOS 6.1.3 and has 32GB of memory. I have just downloaded iTunes 11.0.4.4 (whoch is supposedly the latest version) and I cannot sync the iPad and iTunes. iTunes shows all the songs and albums from my daugter's iPod Touch whoich I presume is stored in her iTunes library. I tried to sync the iPad so that all her music would transfer (hopefully) over to the attached iPad but that didn't happen. I can't find a way to get iTunes to recognise the iPad. Do I have to create a new Apple ID to get this to work?

To find out which iPad you have, look on the back of your iPad and you will see a Model No......you can just google this.

Or go to Settings - General - About, find your Model No. here (it will be different to the number on the back) and google this

It won't be an iPad 1 as this only goes to OS 5.1.1
