iPhone -> iPad calendar synching

What are some of the various ways to get the appointments, etc. from an iPhone calendar on to an iPad via iTunes?

I am guessing there may be a couple of major methods and each one has it's own strengths and weaknesses and steps to follow? Hopefully?

The easiest is to have both devices updated to iOS 5.1, and then turn on iCloud syncing for the calendars on both devices.

Don't use the Info tab in iTunes except as a last resort. Definitely don't' use it if you've already got iCloud or Google, or some other online method going. It will cause problems (duplications and such).
