iPad Reset

I have an old iPad which I don’t use now that I have a newer version iPad but I am considering reusing the old iPad as a simple notebook using the Notes app.Can I simply reset the iPad to factory conditions without disturbing anything on my newer iPad…..eg If I remove all email accounts etc Will they remain on new iPad?

The accounts will still remain on the new device. Usually, setting back an iDevice back to factory settings does not have an impact on the other iPhones or iPads connected to the same iCloud/Apple account.

If I start from scratch on old iPad,can I only use it for NOTES without having to login into Apple ID which would presumably download iCloud NOTES which I wouldn’t want on this ipad?

It‘s possible to login to your ID and disable syncing Notes to iCloud.
