ipad or ipad 2?

When i bought my ipad the box just said ipad and not ipad 2. How can i tell if its an ipad or ipad 2? im new to the ipad thing.

If it has cameras, it's an iPad2. If it doesn't, its an iPad1.

Welcome TDaddy. This has come up before and did confuse some people. But if you think about it, it's pure genius on Apple's part. Think of all the money they're saving using the same boxes on every incarnation of the iPad. Now then, you can't get that kind of humor with a Google search can ya?

like kevin said if it has a camera its the ipad 2. the ipad 1 did not have any cameras
