Ipad calendar?

I wish to add entries on my ipad calendar for previous years so I can look back and compare in the future. It won't let me do this, can anyone reccomend an app? Many thanks.

Hi,
I just tried and went back 1894 and was able to add an item.
I just kept tapping the arrow/triangle to the right of "Today" and it went back.
