My land rover has an iPod direct connect cable. It works with my iPod and iPhone, but won't recognize the iPad. iPad gives "not iPad accessory" message. I thought this was the same os. Any ideas? It's the same unit in jags.
The OS is the same, but the power needed by the iPad is different that the iPhone or iTouch. My guess is that's why it's not recognized, though I could be wrong.
Also, sometimes you can just dismiss the message and it will work fine, depends on your iOS version, 4.2.1 won't work, but 3.2.1 will most of the time. Worth a shot.
