Ipad and iphone

Have an ipad 3 and am about to buy my first iphone. On my PC I use Outlook with calendar and contacts synced through icloud. My question is when I set up my iphone should I use the same email address and user I'd as the Ipad to ensure both devices are I. Sync?
Thanks for any advice on running both devices.

Hello. I think the advantages of having the same ID would outweigh any advantage of having two separate devices. But I'm still thinking about that!

Yes, normally you will want to set up the same account on both/all devices. This will ensure that changes on one device/computer will show up on all the others.
