I will be traveling to France next month and am trying to figure out how to have data access at a reasonable price. I have e iPad 3 wifi +4G for AT&T. Can I purchase a prepaid SIM card to use while there? Has anyone else tried this? Thank you so much!

Yes you can but contact your internet provider (carrier) for your data roaming and they will set it up for you

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

You can purchase a sim card from one of the 3 main Carriers, Orange, SFR and Bouygeus. Have a look at their sites for what suits you best.

I too am looking for info on this. I am sure there are some people in Europe that can contribute to this. I can't imgine anyone is going to allow their carrier to charge them obscene international data roaming rates!

Near as I can tell from the quick searches I have done, there are stores everywhere (including at the airports) that sell pre-paid SIM cards with data. Just make sure you get one that supports the same frequencies for 3G/4G that the iPad supports.
