Ipad 2 will not charge

you'll have to be more specific. How are you trying to charge your iPad? Are you using the supplied charger plugged into a wall socket or are you connecting the cable to the USB port on a computer? Some USB ports do not supply enough power to properly charge an iPad. It will show as not charging, when in fact it is trickle charging at a very slow rate.

Try a reset of your iPad and see if this fixes the issue. Let us know how you go.
Hold the power off button and the home button simultaneously, keep holding them in and you may see the power off slide appear and disappear, wait until you see the Apple logo appear before releasing the buttons. It will take a little longer for your iPad to start.

You're welcome! It's a good idea to do a reset after any update to your iPad as it just helps everything to settle in nicely.
I hope this has fixed your issue now but let us know if it hasn't.
It finally charged to 100%, but it's very hard to get it to charge -- had to play with the plug in into the iPad for quite a whole and just hope I can get it to charge again when it needs it
Well that is good you did get it up to charge. Have a look at your charging port, any debris at all? A quick vacuum can work wonders or a shot of canned air to dislodge anything stuck in there.
Do you know if it's a genuine Apple charger or not? Some of the cheaper ones have been known to fail.
Well aren't you the lucky one......Siri is only available on the iPad 3 and above and the mini.
Have a look in settings - General - About and look for model......then google that number.
That certainly is a bonus to have the 3!!
Yea-- it is a 3 and I got it on eBay sold as a 2 for 207.50 with free shipping!!!
