I do not have an upgrade software on my iPad 2. I do not know how to upgrade without this can anyone help?

What iOS version is your iPad2 running now? To check, go to your Settings app (the one with the gray gear). Once there, go to the General tab and press on the first line, which is titled "About." In the list that appears is a line called "About." That is what your iOS is.

It may be that you will need iTunes to run an update. But, we won't be able to tell for sure until/unless you tell us your current iOS [installed on the iPad].

Then you don't have the ability to do the over-the-air (OTA) update; that came with iOS 5. You'll have to connect the iPad to your iTunes and update it (to iOS 6.1.3) using iTunes. There's an upgrade button on the main summary screen (when you connect to iTunes). Just click on it and iTunes will do its "magic" to update the iPad. As a side note, may I recommend you do a backup before clicking the Upgrade button ... just in case.

Then, once you are on the latest iOS, you'll be able to take advantage of the OTA updates as Apple pushes them out.

Hope this helps.

Hi Agl270 - welcome to the forum! :) Well, you are 'way behind' on your iOS version (my current one is 6..1.3 on an older iPad 2 like your own) - I assume that you have not been syncing to a computer w/ iTunes nor have been doing a Wi-Fi access w/ potential updating sync options - correct? If so, please first provide whether you have a computer to sync your iPad and/or have setup Wi-Fi syncing - this will at least provide some options to suggest - thanks. Dave
