Ipad 2 update

I've looked thru a lot of posts here but don't seem to be able to pick out one that will help me update my ipad 2. I keep getting the 3194 msg. I am on a PC that was only recently fixed itself, after about 10 months of being behind in updates. Now it's back from the shop, and I updated itunes, and tried to update my ipad, but am stuck at the error. Can anyone help?

Went there, read it, not sure if it applies to me. I'm running 4.3.3 and trying to update. No jailbreaking involved.

What iOS version are you trying to update to? The very latest is iOS 5.1.1, which is the one you have to use.

Make sure that your iTunes is fully up to date. Then, you should be able to connect the iPad to iTunes and select "Restore" (on the Summary tab ... the main tab).

That should take care of it. The link provided is if you still have trouble upgrading - it can be used by those who aren't interested in jail breaking...

Disable your virus protection/firewall for the duration of the update also.

Thanks for the pointer, but still no go. I still get the 194 error, trying to update to the latest version iOS 5.1.1, anti-virus is off, iTunes is updated. I just don't get it.
