iOS7: iPad camera no longer works

Dear forumites,

I have a problem - I have installed the upgrade. It's ok - but my Ipad camera no longer works.
Face time is no issue - but in camera mode I just get a black screen

So I have done a complete factory reset and re-istall and ....
It still doesn't work

Any suggestions before I walk down to the apple store and try to get help?

Is it the rear facing camera? If that doesn't work with FaceTime, then it may well be a damaged camera

The camera was working up until the moment that I did the update ...
And yes, it is the rear facing camera - but I cannot even get the forward facing camera working with the camera app

The forward facing one works with face time ...

You may in fact have to visit Apple and see what they can do for you, as it sounds like a hardware problem.
