Ios 5.1.1 problem

After I updates to ios 5.1.1 it wouldn't let me download apps it would be stick at waiting and say unable to purchase. "(apps name)" and other items could not be purchased at this time.Please try again later

I fixed it though, signed off my iTunes account and then signed in again.

Maybe you could tell us what the problem was and how you fixed it in case anyone else has the same issue?
