Indtalled Itunes to a external drive.

When I downloaded itunes I was given the option to install to a specific location. So I installed to a external hard drive and is working fine from there. So I deleted itunes from C:drive.

Hi WitchOS - which computer platform are you using, i.e. Windows, OS X, or Linux? Just curious why you wanted to put iTunes on an external drive and did it affect your music storage reference, a consideration? Thanks for any information - might help others decide on a similar ploy - Dave

I also did this, since I'm running iTunes on a 256Gb Mac and wanted to use cheaper mass storage. So when I want music or movies, I plug in a 2Tb external drive. If I don't need access to the media, iTunes runs fine without it.

Using Windows XP. Want to save space on my hard drive. The computer was born with only a 80gb hard drive.
