Inability to access sites

I've been using an iPad since my kids gave it to me last year. Lately, I've been unable to access a site I've visited many times in the past. I get a screen-message that "Safari cannot open the page because the server has stopped responding." I received an email from the organization, so I know they're still functioning. I'll appreciate any advice. Oma

Go into Settings > Safari and Clear Cookies and Data.

Go to the bottom of the page tap Advanced > Website Data. If the site is shown swipe across it to get the Delete button, and delete it.
