RMS PGA Final Today on St. Simons Island - Coastal Georgia

The final round of the RMS PGA Tour is taking place on St. Simons Island coastal Georgia - the tournament starts out on the Plantation & Seaside Courses (first 2 rounds alternate - final 2 rounds on the Seaside property) - these are just beautiful courses w/ water views and fairways lined by the coastal marshland - Susan and I were in the area in spring 2016 - see my Jekyll Island Travelogue for many more pics - the beautiful Sidney Lanier Bridge leads to Jekyll Island - just a beautiful area w/ gorgeous scenery. Dave :)

Our first snow of the 'winter' - about 3 inches here (10+ inches in the mountains) - already cleared off part of our cars and the roads are just wet, so we could get out if necessary - in our Piedmont town, we average about 6 inches of snow/year, so hopefully we'll be 'average' this season? :) Dave

Any accidents on the roads because of the snowfall?
Where I live we can get more than your annual snowfall in one storm.

LOL! :D Yep, I know about snowfall - grew up in southern Michigan - Susan & I met in Ann Arbor and when I graduated in 1971, we moved to North Carolina to escape those 'large' snowfalls - 25 years of that stuff was enough for us.

The morning paper mentioned some accidents in the Triad area, but many more in the mountains w/ much heavier snowfall and colder temps - however, by the evening we will be going below freezing and I suspect 'black ice' will be an issue, so expect more accidents this evening and possibly in the morning - the sun will be out on Sunday and likely will melt most of what is seen in my pic. Dave :)
