Ouch! :( Hate to see that stuff - for us, was 72º F yesterday and sunny, but expect our usual 1-2 snows this winter - January & February are our coldest months - good luck up there! :) Dave
There have been several accidents today as drivers have forgotten how to drive on icy roads.
It’s hard to believe that a week ago it was 17°C.

Good morning!

Hi Johanna - pics are quite nice - thanks - assume the grounds of Esterháza Palace, Joseph Haydn's home for a quarter century or so. Just curious about the column - is there a dedication? Also, the temple is beautiful and likely a site for weddings? Dave :)
The temple has been restored in 1997, and it’s possible to use it for weddings since then.

The obelisk was built in 1871, at the highest point in the park, as a memento of Lady Sarah Child-Villiers of Jersey. She was Prince Nikolaus III. Esterházy’s wife, and she died young.

My Arkansas SIL posted the first pic below in FB recently of a Roseate Spoonbill by photographer, David Shipper who works out of Beaufort, South Carolina (I've framed 3 of his photos which have been shown previously in this thread) - we've seen these beautiful birds in Florida, most recently at the Myakka River State Park (my own pic in the travel forum; and 2nd image below)) - but Shipper's photo was taken at the Donnelley Wildlife Management Area in South Carolina, about a 4 1/2 drive for us - I was planning a trip next spring to the Beaufort/Port Royal area, so will add another stop - apparently this bird is 'summering' along the Carolina (and assume Georgia) coasts lately. Dave :)
