Looking at my FB page for the morning and some remarkable seascapes of Lake Erie had been posted (see the photographer 'in the water' and just several of his pics) - his name is Dave Sanford - website HERE, if anyone may be interested in purchased items?

I was born in Toledo, Ohio and lived by the western shore of Lake Erie for the first 25 years of my life - we use to boat on the lake, eat at some of the excellent seafood restaurants, and ice skate on the frozen water during the winter - BUT, I never saw the lake look like the photos below - Dave :)

The pictures are spectacular as are the risks he takes to get these photos.

The Lake Erie photos were taken on the northern shore near Port Stanley, Ontario (see map below w/ Toledo circled on the lake's western end) - we use to cross into Ontario (via Detroit) and visited that shore but cannot remember where we went. Now, traveling on upper Lake Michigan during rough weather is an experience from my teenage days; my paternal grandmother was born on Beaver Island in the late 1880s into an Irish community (even spoke Gaelic) - as a teen, I've taken the Charlevoix ferry to the island on two trips (second map) - believe that I was 'seasick' on all of those rides. :D Dave (green seems appropriate - ;) )
