These are from today, taken with my DSLR

In spite of the warm temperatures recently (we had 8° C today), there's still ice.
We had sunshine today, after a few days with rain and/or fog.

This one's my favorite, from the ones taken with my Canon. :)
After sunset - I couldn't decide which one not to post, so here are both of them:

And this one was taken when it was getting dark:

The sunset in the second photo is spectacular! You don't see one like that very often, with the lake in just the fight position.

I took quite a few photos with both my iPhone and my DSLR today. As usual, most of them are not good enough to get attention. There are still 6 left which I like equally. Here they are:

They're all good. I like the third and fourth ones the best, though.

No, they are ALL more than good enough. I like the first one; a great photo also highlighting the ice cold water:)

This was sunrise this morning, taken with my iPhone:

I was in my neighbour's backyard when I took this picture. Had to go to work afterwards, so I've missed the peak of the sunrise in all it's glory. This was beautiful as well, imo.
You still got a very nice sunrise photo. Since the sun is rising a little earlier each day, you'll soon be able to get a photo of the peak sunrise colours.:)

Where I live it's put on a t-shirt, shirt, as many sweaters as you can pile on to get from the house to the pre-warmed up car. And ditch the flip flops and put on tennis shoes.

Or better yet, stay indoors.

When I was a child, they closed the schools if it got under 50F (10C)

We probably get 2 or 3 nights per year that reach 8C and in the daytime it will usually warm up to 20 or more. The next day usually returns to warmer weather.

The consolation is that when we get that cold, it's what is left of a blizzard that crippled the northeast.

I've lived in Florida since 1957 and I have seen it snow twice, light flakes that melted as soon as they hit the ground. It made newspaper headlines and people talked about it for years.

Me? I'm a cold weather wimp. I know some people love it, and I'm happy for them, but for me 84F/29C is perfect.
