Very nice. Some subjects just look better in black and white.

Thanks. I think so too; though the color versions didn't look awful, after a bit of tweaking anyway.

P.S. Noticed that the combination of OS X Yosemite and the new Photos app lets me brows my Photos library directly from the finder. Very convenient; if a bit slow on my older iMac.

We just returned from a trip to the north Georgia mountains which included visits to a handful of wineries - check my ongoing 'new' travelogue in the travel forum - the wines from Stonewall Creek Vineyards were quite impressive - I bought 3 bottles and must say that the Cabernet Franc & Boriana (shown below) are well made and tasty - the latter is made from a grape unfamiliar to me, i.e. Petit Manseng (quote below from a Wiki article) - the grape is from southwest France near the Pyrenees Mountains - I'll discuss more on the Georgia wineries in my travel thread, so please take a look - Dave :)

Petit Manseng (sometimes translated: Small Manseng, rarely "Little Manseng") is a white winegrape variety that is grown primarily in South West France. It produces the highest quality wine of any grape in the Manseng family. The name is derived from its small, thick skin berries. Coupled with the small yields of the grapevine, most Petit Manseng farmers produce around 15 hl of wine per hectare. The grape is often left on the vine till December to produce a late harvestdessert wine. The grape is grown primarily in the Languedoc, Jurançon and Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh but has recently drawn interest in New World wine regions like California, North Georgia, Virginia, Ohio, and Australia. The reason is that it is expected to follow Viognier's path to popularity among white wine drinkers. It was already present in Uruguay, when Basque settlersbrought "Manseng" and Tannat vines with them to their new home. Despite being easily recognizable as a white grape while true Manseng is a black grape, wine that is Petit Manseng is still normally labeled as just "Manseng". The grape is often left on the vine to produce a late harvest wine made from its nearly raisin like grapes.

Hi Bob - love pics of our avian friends - a couple below from several of our trips to nearby Blowing Rock in the North Carolina mountains - we typically rent a condo on the Chetola Resort (lodge w/ lake shown in the pic w/ the swans and their 'babies' - and also Canadian geese w/ a LOT of goslings!). Dave :)

Nice photos. Wile we don't get the swans where I live, we certainly have lots of Canada Geese. In some places you have to watch carefully where you step on account of the deposits left by the geese.
