Yes, the expected flooding will be due to spring runoff from the snow melt.

It's an unfamiliar sight. When you posted pictures so far, most of the ground was covered with snow.

This street had most of the snow removed in preparation for building the sandbag dike.

I went to the Santa Clarita Public Library yesterday, it was Astronomy Day.

We had the same setup at our local library. Not much interest, however.

The library had free book day. Thousands of books and you could take as many as you wanted.
