Newsies - Musical in Charlotte Yesterday!

Susan & I have been away for 2 nights - just down the road in Charlotte, North Carolina to see the musical Newsies (which was a 1992 movie, and a Broadway musical, now on tour) - loved the scenery and dancing the most - a lot of very talented young men conversing, singing, and dancing. Actually, based on a true story (quote below) w/ a highly fictionalized 'love plot' - we enjoyed. Dave :)

The newsboys' strike of 1899 was a U.S. youth-led campaign to force change in the way that Joseph Pulitzer and William Randolph Hearst's newspapers compensated their child labor force of newspaper hawkers. The strike lasted two weeks, causing Pulitzer's New York World to reduce its circulation from 360,000 to 125,000. The strike was successful in increasing the amount of money that newsboys received for their work (Source).
