Today I used both my iPhone and the Canon DSLR to take pictures of the same location as before.
Here's the one taken with the iPhone:

Looks like HDR (High Dynamic Range) mode kicked in, giving it a nice boost in color and lighting.

The first is much better. Looks like the auto exposure in the second picture thought you were trying for moonlit cloud pictures.

I agree, the first one is better.
I like the second one as well.The clouds lit up by the moon look fascinating, imo.

Very nice Johanna. I like the bird silhouettes in the third picture as well. BTW, did you visit the Sunset Bar afterwards? With all that glass you must be able to get great sunset views from inside the bar.

The bar was closed, so I couldn't visit it. I suppose it will start opening around Easter, when more tourists are there.

I'm not nearly that clever. Just a couple small tools, a safety vest, and a bottle of water. Oh, and a collapsible water dish for the dog.

Other than a couple of 'very' cold weeks, it's been a surprisingly mild winter here. It was awfully generous of the east coast to take care of all the snow this year.

But it looks like we might pay for it with a dry year; hard on the farmers and dangerous for the forests.
