Hello all,

I found this forum via google and think it is awesome a
Ready,
I am an owner if nan Apple iPad 2and I have one little query, I got word that you can use a SIM card with the iPad, yet I cannot find anywhere on the iPad where I can insert a SIM card, can someone help me please?
The reason I want to use a sim I with my iPad is so that I can use a data similar card so that I can use the internet on my iPad in an area where there is no decent wifi.
Any help would be much appreciated.
I am technically minded but I am quite new to the apple community.

Big love

Paul

Hello! Welcome to iPF! Have a good time here!

There are two versions of each model of the iPad - wifi + cellular and only wifi.

You seem to have bought the one with only wifi, so you won't be able to use a SIM card with it.

However, Apple has a 14-day exchange scheme, and if yor iPad is not yet 2 weeks old, you can exchange this iPad for the cellular model, of course, you will have to pay the rest of the money... :)

Welcome once again and its a pleasure you joined here!

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

The sim tray on an iPad 2 (when held in portrait) is on the top left hand side of the iPad. If it's not there, then you do have a Wifi only iPad......but having said that Verizon Cellular iPad 2's didn't have a sim, that shouldn't apply to you as you're in the UK though.

You can also google the Model No. which is found on the back of your iPad to find out which model you do have.
