AppleInsider today reports on how a pilot program at Paul Elementary School in Minidoka County, Idaho, has been using the iPad as part of the iSchool Campus pilot test. The program has been running for almost three months, and according to the school principal, Colleen Johnson, it is already working extremely well on a number of levels, including saving money by cutting the 20,000 paper copies that the school usually produced per month, as well as increasing the pupils’ excitement about learning.

“They’re excited to learn, they’re excited to show you what they know,†said fifth-grade teacher Ashlee Johnson. “They’re allowed to use their higher computing skills. It allows the kids to be more creative.â€

The video at the top of this post, which was made by Paul Elementary School to promote the project, does a great job of showing you how extensively iPads, and also iMacs, are being used in the school. Well worth a look!
