Confused.

I connected my iPad to my PC (since it doesn't have iCloud) in the hopes of accessing my Pages documents. All I get is photos. Can someone tell me how to access my documents, and if I can?

Also, it keeps giving me seemingly blank files, and there are about as many as I have documents. They don't open. What are they?

Thanks!

If you have iCloud turned on in your Pages settings, go to icloud.com in a browser on your PC. You'll be able to download the documents from there.

Other methods can that can be used are sending your document to your self via email. Or if you have DropBox, Box, or another cloud service you an use the Open In option when exporting and choose those apps (on the iPad) to upload. Access the same app (or their website) on the PC to get the file.

It is a really good idea to copy important documents to at least one more location than iCloud; your computer or another cloud service. I just had all my iCloud documents disappear. While Apple Tech Support could have restored them from their end, it was far easier (and faster) to grab them from my computer's backup of it's iCloud folder for most stuff, and the important documents from Box where I send copies whenever I update a file.
