iBooks problem

I find iBooks very useful for storing not only my books but also my PDF files containing recipes, knitting patterns, etc.

Only problem is that when I have finished reading a page, the toolbar at the top has disappeared and, even if I tap that area, my Collections option does not always appear.

Any ideas please?

Hello from Canada.
If you tap the Library button, top left on your page, it will bookmark what you're reading and switch screens revealing the toolbar that contains the Collections button.
Not sure if that's what you're asking but hope it helps.
