i pad and flip for mac

I have an apple mac could not play windows media until I downloaded a free version of flip for mac, everything worked fine.
Just wondered has anybody tried or succeeded with a download with flip for mac, will it work. I did try the flip forum but there were no postings

If you have the programme Vic how do I get it, do I not need quick time player first, which I thought was not possible to download.

Any help would be appreciated
