How to Watch AT&T DVR Movies on ipad?

I was listening to a radio commercial today and it said you can access your recorded movies at home on your iPad using AT&T U-Verse. Has anyone tried this and can explain how it works?

From what I read you can stream certain things and edit/review your dvr recordings. Still not bad if it's free.
