I am a new iPad owner. I have a Wifi/AT&T 3G, 16gb device that was purchased to be used in a pilot for our organization. The pilot includes about 15 others in IT, Administration, Workforce and Emergency Preparedness. We are a regional governmental agency. Our organization, from an IT perspective, is a heavy Microsoft user. In addition to the normal products (Office, Windows, SQL Server), we also use SharePoint and Microsoft CRM. From what I've learned in the 1st week, I suspect my searches/questions/comments will be centered around how to use the iPad in a Microsoft environment that takes full advantage of the Microsoft software.

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

Hope to hear from you soon with your thoughts about the iPad.

Have fun and enjoy your iPad

If you don’t already have it you can download a copy of the iPad manual for free.

Welcome to the forum - :)

There are a number of threads on business apps and comparison to their MS equivalents, so some searching might help, but for starters checkout THIS THREAD.

Also, the short Kindle e-book (shown below) provides some useful information directed at business uses - was a 'free' download for a while but is now $5; certainly other books & guides exist.

Good luck and looking forward to your postings!
