How to rotate IPAD during install (bottom touch not working)

Hi, I have an old 1st gen IPAD where the bottom 10% of the screen is not working anymore. I tried to reset the IPAD, but now I'm stuck on the "agree to the license" screen. Is there a way to bypass this? Can I rotate the screen at this time?

During the setup process the iPad screen is fixed in portrait mode with the home button at the bottom. I'm afraid that there's no way to change this until after the setup is finished.
