How do i sync my iphone4 messages to my ipad4 messages?

I've been told its easy but I can't find out how!! It's rather frustrating! Furthermore I'm proud to say I just ordered a shiny new otterbox for it when I'm not at home ^.^

I tried that all it said was add email and wouldn't let me input a phone #

Is your iPhone 4 updated to at least ios 5.0? That allows for the iMessage feature to work between your iPhone and your iPad.

Yea it is I'm running iOS 6.0.1 (I think that's how you put it, it's the latest update)

What has also helped is to reset the network settings.

Settings - general - reset - reset network settings.


Then when your iPad turns on, try to join your network again and see if your I essays will allow for adding a phone number. May also help to turn iMessages off and than back on as well.
