Hide the dock

Will apple ever give us a way to hide this,it would be a nicer look without it.

Likely not as Apple have had the dock since the first iOS device, the iPhone, was released in 2007. The appearance has changed over the years but the Dock has remained and will likely stay unless Apple issues a massive overhaul of iOS.
