What's new

Hello to the lovely Mac people

Hi- i'm used to be a pro film composer in Hollyweird. I've used Macs exclusively since 1988. My first was a Mac SE, a screaming machine with 512K of RAM. i even went hardcore and bought a 100 megabyte hard drive that only cost me $1000.00
When I upgraded to a Mac Ci in 1992, I got serious and bought a 1.5 gig drive for $3000.00. Today, I picked up a 8 gig flash drive for 16 bucks.
I am behind the curve at this point, floundering on a PPC Quad 2.5ghz running 10.4.11 with 7 gig of ram. I have 40K invested in music software, and the leap to 10.5.8 is prohibitive right now, as I am battling a brain tumor and 3 brain anuerisms. 16 brain operations have left me broke but unbowed, even stuck in the knowledge that I am an antique.
Hearing the Mac greet me every morning is the only constant left in my life. I'll take it :)

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

Hope to hear from you soon with your thoughts about the iPad.

Have fun and enjoy your iPad

I had one of those early Macs too - they were revolutionary at the time!!

Sorry to hear about your medical problems and I wish you the best for the future.
