Hello and help!

I've just joined the forum as I realise although I love my ipad2 I know very little about it's capabilities. I love my games and browsing the web, I can't manage to upload DVDs yet and now notice that the sound on all my gaming apps as well as my email have disappeared.
There is probably a clear and easy explanation but some advice from someone would be warmly welcomed.
I've found it interesting reading many of the threads but can't find an answer to my sound problem - incidentally I tried the mute button suggestion and it didn't work!

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

Check in Settings - General - Sounds and make sure the ringer here is up and also check the sound bar which is found by doing the 4 finger swipe up or double press the home button to bring up your multitask bar, swipe right and you will find a sound control here. Let us know how you go.
